    Abstract: Barton uses the work of Jurgen Habermas to critique blogs, discussion boards, and wikis to argue for their use as "valuable tools" for critical public spheres.This paper discusses the role of blogs, wikis, and online discussion boards in enabling rational-critical debate. Barton talks about the ways these three technologies can be implemented into composition classrooms.
