Roles
Moderator
Moderators can be thought of as instructors in a classroom. They have control over all activities in a room. Moderators can take and give away privileges from participants, and they also have access to more tools than participants.
Only NCSU faculty, staff, and graduate students may request moderator accounts. Rooms can have more than one moderator. Additional moderators are set up either at the time of room creation or live during the meeting.
Participant
Participants can be thought of as students in a classroom. Participants can engage in all of the activities in the room, but only if the moderator has granted those privileges to the participant. Participants do not need an Elluminate account to join a meeting. Participants will only need to provide their name (and potentially a password) to join a meeting.
Note: Unityids are NOT required to participate in an Elluminate Session
