47 minute film- 1997 If this film was made over 10 years ago, the information has obviously been known by scientists long before its production. But why is this information not common to the public? Maybe the economy would fail without the use of plastics. The people in charge say well, everyones just going to die anyway. But its the quality of each individuals life that is important not the number of people who exist in a population. Depression and anxiety can be linked to these endocrine disrupters. Everyones walking around going what's the point? Maybe if they had a more organic lifestyle they would understand the Earth more and would be more in touch with the chain of life. McDonald's Hamburgers and a plastic cage is not going to grant transcendental thought or will help a person gain knowledge of the life cycle around them.
The facts: Hormone Imposters looks at the frightening way chemicals in our everyday lives are infiltrating our bodies, mimicking our hormones. By doing this, they trigger unwanted activities and block other crucial biological events from taking place. Sexual identity, reproduction and brain development are among many functions hormones are responsible for in humans and other animals. In humans, attention deficit, problems with reading and memory, and difficulty in coping with stress may all be linked to hormone-disrupting toxins in the environment. There are endocrine disrupting chemicals in all plastics, in personal care products from cosmetics to contraceptives, in pesticides and industrial waste.
