How to Encode a QuickTime Movie for Streaming

This requires Quicktime Pro:

1. Open the movie in QuickTime Pro.

2. Choose "File" and "Export"

3. For the Export option select "Movie to QuickTime Movie"

4. Click on the "Options" button

5. Click "Prepare for Internet Streaming" and choose "Hinted Streaming"

6. Click "Options"

7. Click "Optimize Hints for Server"

8. Click "OK"

9. Under "Video" click "Settings"

10. For the "Optimized for" option select "Streaming"

11. You can try leaving the "Data Rate" at "Automatic". If this doesn't work, type in a number in the "Restrict to" field. 256 would be a good number to try

12. Click "OK"

13. Click "OK"

14. Click "Save"
