Coverage: 1898-present. Indexes and abstracts serials, conference proceedings, standards and reports in the physical sciences, electrical engineering & computer science. Coverage of astrophysics and applied (engineering) mathematics.

Uses the Engineering Village interface (also used for Compendex, NTIS, and PaperChem, all can be searched simultaneously). This is a very good interface for saving searches, creating search alerts, locating particular types of documents (e.g., review articles), and refining search results. These functions are all made intuitive, but please Ask A Librarian if you would like some assistance.

Another strength of this database is its depth of indexing of conference proceedings.

Getting full text of articles

Click on the Abstract or Detailed link for an article you want to see. At the bottom of the record, you should then see the red/white Find Text box:

As in other databases, this will link you back to the NCSU Libraries' subscription to this journal (if we have one). It works more consistently for journals, but will generally work for conference proceedings.
