People in the multi-user virtual environments and information gaming exploration group on the NCSU campus.

- Lynda Aiman-Smith-- (Lala Lassally in sl). Most folks in the College of Management call me LAS. As a faculty member in the College of Management I am intrigued by the possibilities for non-co-located collaboration for students, and for researchers, using multi user visual environments.
- Len Annetta Assistant professor of science education. I created a the first 3D-OLE on campus through an IDEA grant. Currently lead a LITRE and 2 NSF projects about gaming applications in education.
- Kawanna Bright (Kawanna Yoshikawa in SL)- Instructional Services Librarian at the NCSU Libraries. I'm interested in the use of games and gaming in library instruction and information literacy.
- Ben Huckaby - Multimedia Specialist at NCSU-DELTA. I'm interested in the use of games for cooperative/team-based learning as well as the use of simulations for experiential learning
- Claudia Kimbrough (SL name is Callie Kuhn) Faculty in Business Management with focus in marketing. I'm interested in developing an NC State and College of Management presence in SL, as well as incorporating multi user environments into teaching. As an educator in marketing communications, I also have interest in emerging media.
- Orion Pozo (Peace Furst)- Engineering and Computer Science collection manager at the NCSU Libraries. I have started a Facebook group, Second Life @ NCSU, a Second Life group, NCSU in Second Life, to facilitate communication and developments related to NCSU, and a Second Life group called Academic Engineering Librarians to coordinate the SL-AEL community. Also am highlighting SL educational content by streaming selected events to the Learning Commons Presentation Room in the D. H. Hill Library. If you know of an event you would like presented out to the campus, please contact me to make arrangements.
- Amanda Robertson - Designer/Multimedia Specialist at NCSU-DELTA. Exploring the value of online communities as social spaces. The use of 3D virtual simulations for online learning. 3D environments to facilitate collaboration. The application of new media in 3D multiplayer virtual environments.
- Dan Sutko - Master's student, Dept. of Communcation @ NCSU. My research interests are new media literacy; social spaces and networks (as affected by mobile or multi-user ICTs); and the pedagogical applications of games and new ICTs. I'm the research assistant for the new Mobile Gaming Research Lab at State.
- Joe Williams - Director of the Learning Commons, NCSU Libraries. I'm interested in incorporating new technologies in teaching, and delivering instructional materials over the web.
- Josh Wilson (CometZero Petrov in second life) - Physical and mathematical sciences reference librarian at the NCSU Libraries. I'm interested in the use of information technology and the role of gaming in education.
- Michael Young - Associate Professor of Computer Science and co-Director of the Digital Games Research Center. My interests lie in the use of intelligent techniques to control aspects of games to enhance cognition, comprehension and engagement. I'm the director of the Liquid Narrative research group.
- Kevin Gamble - Associate Director National eXtension Initiative. My interested in the use of MUVEs for distance learning and collaboration. eXtension has a presence on EduIsland in Second Life, an island on the adult grid (Morrill Island), and an island on the youth grid (Bailey). We also have an in-world group, Cooperative Extension Educators (please let me know if you'd like to join), and another group on Facebook (Cooperative Extension Second Life Educators that is open for all to join.
