Available through the Libraries' Special Collections Research Center. Includes Manuscript Collections relating to Physics and University Archives Collections relating to Physics.
Description of the collection:
The Special Collections Research Center is building a collection of works central to the study of the history of modern physics. Einstein’s Theories of Relativity have had a profound effect on our understanding of physics, astronomy, and the relationship between matter and energy. The development, exposition, and refinement of these theories is best understood when considered in the context of the scientific community of which he was a part. This collection includes works from Einstein and his contemporaries and provides us with insight into the evolution of modern physics as well as an overview of other significant contributors to this body of knowledge. Among the scientists represented are Albert Einstein, H. A. Lorentz, Max Born, Niels Bohr.
