PubMed
From WolfWikis
Includes over 15 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. Includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.
Getting full text of articles
Click on an article in your search results list to access the abstract and other information. On the right side of that page, you may see buttons similar to these:
The upper button will have a different appearance for different publishers, or it may not appear at all. Try that button first to access the full article. If it doesn't work or isn't available, try the Find Text@NCSU button.
We will have many journals available online, and some in print only, but not everything you locate in PubMed will be available at the NCSU Libraries. However, the UNC and Duke Libraries have extensive medical science collections and may have articles you need. We can obtain copies relatively quickly. Use Tripsaver to request articles we do not have available at NCSU.
Saving searches
Use the Clipboard feature to save searches. Check articles you wish to save, and then send them to the Clipboard using the drop-down menu:
You can then work with them as a batch: e-mail, print, or save them permanently using the MyNCBI feature of the site (this feature also lets you set up citation alerts).
