From WolfWikis
Toxicologists have found that the levels of most indoor air pollutants exceed those found outdoors. Up-Close and Toxic descibes a lot of harmful pollutants that exist and reside in an average American home. There where 3 Specialists that discussed dust, chemicals, and toxins creating in the process of eating food. These specialists where "behind the scenes" of a fictional family that went about their daily routine. As the family did their everyday business the specialists and the narrarator pointed out all the toxic substances that where either in the carpet, pesticide in the food, in the shower, in closets, in the car, among their cleaning products, and plastics. The carpet is the worst place, and the people most suseptible to theses toxins are babies and children. Babies tend to constantly put things in their mouth, which is the easiest way for harmful things to enter the body. The film offered few solutions to theses problems but include, constant vaccuuming of a space and opening windows to create ventalation. It seems as though inorganic components of the world around us is detrimental to human health.
