Explanation

Your site should have some type of welcome or orientation page. This helps introduce users to your site and to you. Your students will be using this site all semester, so you want to make sure they understand how to best use your site. It could be as simple as an HTML page that explains how your site is laid out and how they will be using the site during the semester. You want to make sure there is as little confusion as possible for your students.

Alternatively you could make a short video welcoming students to your class.
