Overview
This project will create, organize, encourage, and assist in moderation of NCSU group discussions within its scope. Articles within the scope of this project are those included in Category:Project Torch Discussions.
Article Creation
Articles will be created for selected groups within the NCSU community by the members of this project. These articles will be designed for the purpose of providing insight into ongoing discussions within the groups. The naming syntax for these articles will be: Group Name Discussions (name of the group, followed by "Discussions") and will be located in the main namespace of WolfWikis.
Companion article stubs will also be created for most groups which will be designed to serve as an article about the group itself. These companion articles will not be within the scope of this project after their creation. The naming syntax for these articles will be: Group Name (simply the name of the group). This will be done in order to expand the coverage of WolfWikis and encourage groups throughout NCSU to begin contributing information.
Sample Student Group and Sample Student Group Discussions have been created as models and will be used as to test the templates and formatting before mass creation of pages for groups throughout the NCSU community.
- All NCSU community articles within the scope of Project Torch should be tagged with Category:Project Torch tag.
- The talk page for the respective article should be tagged with the template Template:Project Torch.
- All NCSU community discussions articles within the scope of Project Torch Discussions should be tagged with both the Category:Project Torch tag and the Category:Project Torch Discussions tag, along with any other categories in which it may belong.
- The talk page for the respective article should be tagged with the templates Template:Project Torch and Template:Project Torch Discussions.
Organization, Encouragement of Contributions, and Moderation
A variety of templates will be included on each group discussions article and group article to provide guidance as to the purpose of each page and encourage contributions to expand its content. Members of this project will visit each group discussions article page periodically to clean up formatting and organize content in a clear and impartial manor.
The "talk" page for each respective group discussions article (labeled as the "discussion" page on WolfWikis) will be used to note any significant changes to the article, whenever they are made. Each "talk" page will contain the Project Torch Discussions template as an identifier.
